I am pleased to announce this Call for Papers for the 48th Meeting of the NTPA (click here to view the document). After last year’s hiatus, the upcoming conference promises to be one of our best gatherings ever.
Our 2016 meeting will take place April 1-2 on the campus of El Centro College in Dallas, TX. This location, in the heart of Dallas’ vibrant cultural and entertainment areas, will provide a unique setting for our conference, an easy walk or short train ride to Dallas’ great museums, music halls, restaurants, shops and city parks and on the metro train line connected to D/FW International Airport.
The NTPA welcomes papers from all philosophical perspectives. Submissions should be prepared for blind review and limited to 3000-3500 words. Because of limited space, we anticipate the opportunities for presenting papers to be very competitive. The deadline for submissions is January 22, 2016.
The 2016 meeting will feature:
- Keynote addresses: Babette Babich, Fordham University (Friday) John Sallis, Boston College (Saturday)
- Presidential address: Charles R. Bambach, University of Texas at Dallas (Friday)
- Invited Speakers: Theodore George, Texas A&M University, Irene Klaver, University of North Texas, Kas Saghafi, University of Memphis, Lawrence Schmidt, Hendrix College, Janae Sholtz, Alvernia University, Robert R. Wood, University of Dallas
Submissions and program inquiries should be sent to Dr. Dale Wilkerson: dale.wilkerson@utrgv.edu
For questions concerning El Centro College and accommodations, contact Dr. Mark Thames: MThames@dcccd.edu
