2018 NTPA Closing Remarks

The NTPA executive committee would like to thank everyone who made this conference such a success. Our keynote speakers, Dr. Babette Babich (Fordham) and Dr. Walter Brogan (Villanova) were outstanding, and we hope that they will join us again in the future. We especially thank our generous host, the University of Texas, Dallas, for providing such a beautiful venue for the conference. Below are those to whom we owe special thanks for their hard work and financial support, without which such an outstanding conference would not have occurred.

  • University of Texas, Dallas (partner sponsor), with special thanks to Andy Amato for coordinating the conference, Matt Brown and the Center for Values in Science, Medicine, and Technology and Dean Kratz (for financial support), and Charles Bambach (NTPA president).
  • Dale Wilkerson (NTPA co-secretary); Cynthia Nielsen (NTPA co-secretary); Mike Vendsel (NTPA treasurer)

Parking at UTD for 2018 NTPA Conference

As to parking, NTPA participants have two options:

  1. Visitor parking and metered parking. Information regarding visitor parking may be accessed here. If participants opt for free visitor parking, they must use Green spaces only (and they should be prepared to walk to get to the DGA building). Metered parking (especially in Parking Structure 1, or PS 1) is conveniently located next to the Alumni Center and around the campus, but it could cost $10-12+ dollars for the day.
  2. Bus or Shuttle options. Participants may also explore catching a bus or shuttle; however, this option is more complicated. (For those interested in this option, here’s a link to the parking and transportation office.) Participants may access the campus map here. All sessions will be held in the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center, designated DGA on the map.
